Star anise
What does this note smell like?
A warm, sweet spice impression of star-shaped fruits, with a licorice-like core and a slightly woody, herbal edge. Star anise, Illicium verum, can deepen amber and gourmand accords; it is a different plant from Pimpinella anise, even when their aromas resemble each other.
