What does this note smell like?
A mossy, earthy woodland reference with leathery, balsamic and sometimes smoky or marine edges. It can give bright citrus and soft flowers a darker, drier ground. Oakmoss materials use the lichen Evernia prunastri, not oak wood or an ordinary carpet of green moss; the perfume note alone does not specify an extract or supplier grade.
