What does this note smell like?
A peppery resin image with zesty freshness and a woody background. A documented Philippine elemi oil is steam-distilled from gum; a resinoid from the same supplier uses solvent extraction and has fresh woody-resinous facets. These examples explain different forms, not the exact material in every perfume labelled Philippine elemi. The place name alone does not choose oil, gum or resinoid.
