Note combinations
Iris and cardamom in one perfume
Discover perfumes that list iris and cardamom together. Follow the other notes and read each description to see how differently this pairing can be framed.
Iris
A cool powdery impression recalling cosmetic powder, violet and dry roots, sometimes with a soft woody or carrot-like edge. Iris gives flowers a velvety texture and softens the meeting of musk and woods. Perfumery orris is associated with the rhizome rather than the flower, but an unqualified iris label does not establish a species, origin, natural extract or extraction method.
Cardamom
Cardamom can bring cool, aromatic spice with green or camphor-like facets and a little fruity brightness, rather than only cinnamon-like warmth. It can enliven citrus, coffee or woods. A green-cardamom label is not proof of a leaf extract, and the note alone does not identify the perfume’s exact species, oil or extraction.
