L’envie Parfums shows two ways to bring warmth to woods. #002 The Patchouli Affair gives patchouli and vetiver a brighter lead-in of ginger and mandarin, with honeysuckle, frankincense and tonka softening the transition. #007 Idée Fixe is more powdery and spicy: black pepper and cardamom meet vanilla, cinnamon and iris over guaiac wood and labdanum.
