MDCI Parfums
About the house
Parfums MDCI spans aromatic, floral, leather and resinous directions, with several fragrances taking their names from portraits or imagined places. Invasion Barbare has a green, classic character, combining grapefruit and violet leaf with thyme, lavender and ginger; Le Barbier de Tanger makes that aromatic route more barbershop-like with basil, galbanum and oakmoss.

Vétyver Messager brings carrot and geranium to a vetiver-and-moss base, while Ambre Topkapi is busier with pineapple, spice, Darjeeling tea and raspberry.
The wood, resin and leather directions split sharply: Bleu Satin passes through watermelon and cassis before saffron and leather; Cuir Garamante puts rose, oud and papyrus over incense; Cuir Cavalier contrasts red tangerine and saffron with rose, iris and white honey. L’Homme aux Gants and L’Élégant are warmer, woody-spiced options, the latter richer in iris and honey.
On the floral side, Rose de Siwa places roses from two origins after litchi and peony, whereas Enlèvement au Sérail adds jasmine sambac, tuberose and a patchouli-sandalwood base. Nuit Andalouse focuses on gardenia; Cio Cio San joins cherry blossom and Oolong tea; La Belle Hélène gives pear and osmanthus a mossy, myrrh-and-licorice underside.
Fruit can lead elsewhere too: Péché Cardinal pairs peach and coconut with tuberose, Les Indes Galantes takes almond and raspberry into spice and resin, and La Ravissante places starfruit and nashi over airy flowers and a marshmallow-vanilla base.
