Pierre de Velay No. 47 opens with lemon, bergamot and clary sage, followed by ylang-ylang, violet and jasmine. Castoreum and civet accords combine with birch, oakmoss and balsams for an earthy, animalic finish. These notes distinguish it from the rose, cashmere wood and vanilla of No. 9.
