Thai basil

Green aromatic leaves with a clearer anise-and-liquorice direction and a lightly spicy edge. Thai basil can connect citrus or juicy fruit to warmer herbs and woods without turning the blend into plain liquorice candy. A documented Sweet Thai basil type has this anise-like profile, but the perfume note does not establish its cultivar or extract. The Thai name alone does not prove that the material is holy basil or tulsi.
