Khadlaj Perfumes

About the house

Khadlaj’s ranges cover tropical fruit, fresh citrus, woods and creamy sweets. In the Island group, Island opens with pineapple and iris, passes through coconut and woods, and settles on amber, tonka and sandalwood.

Island Sun replaces pineapple with mango, coconut, lime and lemon, then brings pink pepper and white flowers into the middle. Island Dreams is much leaner: bergamot and ginger, a grapefruit accord, then ambroxan and musk. Dreams lists no marine note despite its name. For an explicitly marine opening, Zayaan Silver combines that accord with grapefruit, mint and pink pepper before aromatic spice and a vanilla-tonka base. Nafais Magrib follows another fresh route, from yuzu, grapefruit and mandarin through tropical fruit and galbanum to ozonic, aldehydic musk.

The Karus fragrances also have distinct characters. Gold Absolu puts blackcurrant and candied lemon above praline and soft flowers, with vetiver drying the base. Blu Spice is tea and bergamot through neroli and ginger to cinnamon and guaiacwood. Secret Musk starts sweet and musky, moves through tonka, chocolate and rose, then lists red fruits and saffron in the base. The four Khadlaj 25 scents span eucalyptus, rose and fig-tree wood in Experience; cypriol, nutmeg and oud in Heritage; citrus, chestnut and dry woods in Integrity; and cherry, raspberry, saffron and flowers in Loyalty. Onyx Silver takes ginger, pepper and petitgrain toward balsamic resins, whereas Onyx Gold sets rum, bitter orange and dried fruit above myrrh and labdanum.

For softer sweetness, Muse combines almond, orris and cream with vanilla and white musk; Strawberry Shake uses strawberry, milk and almond cream; Panache Angel Dust pairs redcurrant and tuberose with a rum note and whipped cream. Among the woods and aromatics, Saraya contrasts Thai basil and clary sage with mineral amber, Shiyaaka Sky moves from citrus and verbena to green flowers and vetiver, and Icon travels from bergamot through lavender and incense to suede and sandalwood. Qarar and Ihthiraam have separate official identities but nearly matching published pyramids, so their listings do not support a confident scent distinction. Sampling them side by side is more useful than treating the slightly different oud wording as proof of one.
