Elemi
What does this note smell like?
A lively resin image: peppery spice, citrus-zest brightness and a woody, incense-like background. Elemi can bridge a fresh opening and a resinous or woody heart without simply turning the perfume into smoke. Gum, distilled oil and solvent extract are different material forms; the generic note leaves the form open. An incense-like association does not prove that resin was burned in making the perfume.
