Ambergris
What does this note smell like?
An ambergris reference can suggest musky, skin-like warmth, sometimes with a marine or dry woody edge beside flowers and citrus. Natural ambergris forms in sperm whales and is different from fossil tree-resin amber. A perfume’s ambergris note may be recreated; it does not prove animal material, a particular synthetic molecule or one fixed recipe.
