Notes
Nutmeg and mandarin-peel maceration
What does this note smell like?
A source-specific name with unresolved identity; use this sensory family for orientation: Warm, dry spice with rounded woody and powdery facets, a peppery lift and sometimes a bright citrus edge. Like freshly grated nutmeg, it can connect citrus to amber or dry woods without adding vanilla-like sweetness. The spice is the seed reference; mace is its surrounding aril, a separate spice. A documented Indonesian Myristica fragrans oil illustrates the family, not every perfume’s formula.
