Indian saffron
What does this note smell like?
A saffron-family reference: warm dry spice with possible herbal, floral, tobacco-like or leathery edges. Compare its aromatic detail beside rose and woods with the rounder sweetness of vanilla. The regional name preserves a source label, not proof of harvest location, extraction, quality ranking or a unique regional smell. It is not necessarily turmeric or safflower because a local name resembles saffron.
