What does this note smell like?
Frankincense, also called olibanum, can combine bright citrus and pepper-like lift with warmer amber-resin depth. It gives woods and flowers a drier, aromatic contrast to sugary balsams. The material comes from Boswellia gum-resin; a frankincense note need not smell like burning charcoal, and the name does not specify one oil or extract.
