What does this note smell like?
A frankincense essential-oil example offers peppery and lemon-like brightness with an amber-resin undertone. Distilling the gum-resin gives a volatile oil, distinct from the heavier resinous material left behind. It can brighten an incense accord; the published oil name does not determine one Boswellia species, origin or exact material grade.
