Notes
Black pine (Europe)
What does this note smell like?
A European-qualified black-pine reference, with a useful contrast between foliage freshness and deeper resinous wood. A Corsican needle-oil example is woody, balsamic, earthy and slightly fruity; that does not make every European black-pine note the same oil. In Amber Teutonic, compare the pine with larch and the surrounding woods, without reading “black” as necessarily charred or smoky.
