HEADSPACE
About the house
HEADSPACE uses captured scent impressions as starting points for compositions. A name such as SANTAL or TUBEREUSE identifies a theme, not a promise of a single-note perfume. Compare GENIEVRE's juniper and citrus with SAUGE's greener herbal direction, then KIRSCH's cherry-sake contrast with STYRAX's resinous leather and osmanthus. Among the extraits, TABAC pairs a coffee headspace accord with tobacco and vanilla, while SAFRAN puts smoky tea beside saffron and leather. Headspace refers to a technique for reconstructing a scent impression; it does not mean the literal object or drink is an ingredient. Note lists and pyramids follow the structure actually published for each edition.
