Tea, suede, tobacco and flowers give BDK Parfums several different centers of interest. Gris Charnel connects tea, fig and cardamom to iris and sandalwood. Crème de Cuir brings pineapple and citrus to suede; Tabac Rose places rose between plum, chocolate and tobacco. They are different compositional ideas even where individual notes overlap.
Rouge Smoking shows how editions can diverge: cherry, vanilla and heliotrope in the EDP give way to almond, milk, balsams, rum and oud in the Extrait. In the Absolu de Parfum range, Stellar Silk pairs butter and iris with vanilla, while Oud Paradisio combines pineapple, ice cream and incense with rose and oud. Each pairing gives sweetness a different texture.
