Velvety woods

Smooth woody grain with softened edges, like fine dry wood brushed by a soft fabric. It rounds sharper woods without necessarily adding vanilla creaminess. Velvety names the texture of an accord, not a tree species, textile ingredient or synonym for amber wood.
