What does this note smell like?
Warm balsam with a leathery, softly smoky edge and cinnamon-like sweetness, useful for giving amber or woods darker texture. One documented styrax extract comes from Liquidambar balsam. This perfumery name is not necessarily the same material as benzoin merely because benzoin trees belong to the genus Styrax.
