Pine buds
What does this note smell like?
A resinous young-growth image that gives a green counterpoint to citrus and flowers. In Lemonfizz, Helan places pine buds against the citric floral heart, before softer white woods; notice the resinous contrast rather than expecting burnt timber or a pine-nut sweetness. Buds name a growing part of the tree, but do not establish one pine species or an extraction.
