Macassar wood
What does this note smell like?
A wood-image name that should not be treated as one strongly scented timber extract. Macassar ebony is a real timber, but a timber reference describes its odour as indistinct. In Noir Exquis, compare the woody base with coffee and maple sweetness; in Noir Anthracite, compare it with cedar and patchouli. The perfume label does not specify an ebony species, oil or single aroma molecule.
