Labdanum essential oil
What does this note smell like?
A warm cistus-labdanum image with balsamic wood, an aromatic edge and possible leathery depth, useful between herbs and resinous woods. SIAM 1928’s Kakee names labdanum essential oil. A documented cistus oil is distilled from branches and leaves, while a labdanum absolute can come from gum; that distinction does not identify Kakee’s private material. The oil wording does not establish its plant parts, exact distillation or equivalence to gum extract.
