Birch tar (Tula)
What does this note smell like?
Smoke from charred wood, dark tar and a slightly sweet leather-like undertone. Birch tar gives woods, tobacco or leather accords a rough, fire-marked contrast, very different from green birch leaves or pale timber. The tar reference concerns processed material, not a smell guaranteed by every birch tree.
