Basil (Egypt)

Fresh green basil with an aromatic, lightly peppery character and a possible anise-like sweet edge. It can draw a leafy line through citrus and soften the jump from sharp fruit to a floral or woody heart. Egypt preserves the published origin qualifier, not a measured regional scent or verified harvest. It does not by itself choose a linalool or methyl-chavicol type, an absolute or an essential oil in the perfume.
