What does this note smell like?
A broad tree-and-resin name: Peru-balsam materials can be sweet and vanilla-like, while fir balsam brings woody pine shades. Balsam tree can suggest a resinous link between woods and warmer notes, but the label does not choose one tree species or extraction. Compare the resin texture rather than assuming every balsam has the same smell.
