Note combinations
Sea salt and sage
A salty impression alongside aromatic herbs. Follow the other notes to see whether fruit, flowers or woods shape the composition.
Sea salt
A saline mineral impression of sea spray, drying crystals and sun-warmed skin. Sea salt adds airy coastal contrast and sharpens citrus, woods or aquatics; it is a scent effect, not the literal odor of sodium chloride.
Sage
Dry aromatic leaves with a camphor-like, gently bitter edge, giving citrus, tobacco or soft woods a less sweet herbal line. A documented sage oil uses steam-distilled Salvia officinalis leaves; that is one material example, not every perfume’s species or process. This leaf-led image differs from the rounder musky-amber direction associated with clary sage. Where a country is named, it preserves the source’s qualifier rather than a verified harvest or a measured regional aroma.
