The classic Valeur Absolue scents offer several floral directions. Harmonie pairs neroli with Earl Grey tea; Joie-Éclat puts grapefruit beside creamy white flowers and dry vetiver. Confiance is warmer and sweeter with cinnamon, peach and vanilla. Rouge Passion brings ginger and rich tropical flowers. Sensualité gives rose a soft floral-musky setting; Sérénitude pairs it with spiced sandalwood and patchouli. Vitalité offers another citrus-fruit direction with blackcurrant and vetiver.
Harmonie Essentielle pairs neroli and tangerine with tuberose, vanilla and resinous wood. Joie Essentielle makes citrus more aromatic through mint and coriander, with vetiver, patchouli and labdanum providing an earthy contrast. Sensualité Essentielle moves toward rose, strawberry and orange, softened by vanilla. Essentielle and Classique refer to different compositions, rather than different bottle sizes of one perfume.
