Phebo

About the house

Phebo gives freshness several forms. Água de Néroli pairs citrus with green tea; Água de Peônia combines warmer flowers and spice.

Água de Vetiver has a salty-green edge, while Água de Folhas de Figo highlights fig-leaf greenery. In Origens, Limão Siciliano combines citrus and herbs, Alfazema Provençal centres on lavender, Gerânio Bourbon has peppery green flowers, and Nectarina da Andaluzia pairs juicy fruit with light florals.

For Biblioteca Olfativa, choose a contrast to start. Brisa threads cedar through citrus and neroli; Zimbro adds juniper, mint and cognac. Aura is citrus and spicy neroli, while Ancestral moves through lavender and gurjun balsam. Entrelaço’s lotus and iris differ from Flor de Maio’s ginger lily and carrot seed. Ginga separates mango fruit from mango-tree wood; Marajó takes watery violet toward incense. Flor de Cajueiro and Isolda Cajueiro are distinct fruit-and-flower profiles: cashew fruit sits in the heart of the former and the opening of the latter. For warmth, compare Bronze’s rum and heliotrope, Fava Tonka’s tonka and benzoin, and Orquídea Nativa’s cacao and coffee. Santalum explores thanaka, velvety woods and sandalwood oil; Patchouli follows an earthy leaf-and-wood thread, while Déjà-vu combines green amber woods with oakmoss. Lichia & Pimenta offers lychee above a jasmine, lily and rose heart.

The Origens pair gives another useful contrast: Verbena Tropical builds lemon-and-rosemary freshness through verbena and geranium, while Coco da Bahia places coconut, tuberose and lily of the valley over pale woods. Odor de Rosas goes in a woodier, spicier direction, linking rose, clove leaf and thyme to leather and patchouli. It is a skin cologne, distinct from the famous bar soap.

Two Águas colognes offer different herbal routes. Água de Lavanda puts lavender, sage and rosemary before a heart of lavandin, rose and geranium, then patchouli and woods. Água de Rosmarino starts with Sicilian lemon, nutmeg and rosemary, bringing cardamom and black pepper around lily before lavandin and vetiver. Compare the rosy herbal heart with the dry spice emphasis; Ancestral offers another lavender direction with a warmer tonka base.

The Aromáticos EDTs give four herbal comparisons: Rosmarino adds lemon, nutmeg and pepper; Lavanda surrounds rose and geranium with lavender, rosemary and sage. Folhas de Menta joins mint to fig and cedar, while Basílico Roxo places purple basil and neroli over cardamom. In Biblioteca, compare Belo Pomelo’s citrus, violet and iris with Bem Me Quero’s green leaves, jasmine and ylang-ylang, then Metrópole’s apricot, fig and sandalwood. Follow the change from opening greenery to the floral centre and its woody support.
