Guerlain
About the house
Guerlain began in Paris in 1828. Its history includes very different structures: Shalimar Eau de Toilette sets bergamot and a floral heart over vanilla and tonka, while Mitsouko Eau de Parfum puts peach among flowers, moss and woods. Peach there contributes to a mossy composition rather than a dessert theme.
L'Heure Bleue Eau de Parfum brings together anise, flowers, powdery iris and a vanilla-balsamic base. Citrus and vanilla in Shalimar, peach and moss in Mitsouko, floral powder in L'Heure Bleue: each offers a different center of interest. These descriptions refer to the editions listed here; a historic name and launch date do not establish the same formula across later concentrations.
