About the house
Brioni's ten fragrances range from airy fruit and flowers to dry tea, resin and leather. The four named Les Extraits de Parfum each center a different texture: Labdanum Brut warms rose and patchouli with cistus resin; Papyrus Éternel is drier, joining black and smoky tea to papyrus and vetiver; Encens Minéral threads incense through peppers, cedar and white musk; Iris Exquis contrasts powdery iris with green verbena, suede and maté.

Among the Eaux de Parfum, the original blue bottle is an airy apple-and-violet composition over cedar, tonka and musk, while Intense takes pepper and apple toward saffron, oud and vanilla. Éclat is the brightest grapefruit-and-rose composition with frankincense; Essentiel uses frankincense differently, beside green tomato leaf, cardamom and tonka. Suave is warmer and leatherier, bringing tangerine and cardamom to vetiver, sandalwood and salted amber. Mare Assoluto separates itself with fig, lemon and cédrat, a marine-salt and herbal middle, and a mossy wood base. The older 2015 Brioni Extrait in the catalogue is a distinct historical edition; its name does not identify it as one of these four current named Extraits.
